Thank you to all of our members that completed the Dues Increase ballot. The results are in!
There were 145 ballots returned.
We had 118 votes to increase the dues to $75.00/year and 27 votes to not increase the dues.
81.4% of the total votes favored increasing the dues.
18.6% of the total votes were not in favor of increasing the dues.
Our bylaws require us to have approval of at least 51% of all households. Of our 220 homes we had 118 votes in favor of the dues increase. That gave us an approval of 53.5%.
The dues for 2023 will be $75.00/yr as voted by the membership.

As we look ahead toward next year’s NWCA Annual Picnic, 2023, we would love to increase the activities that we have for our children besides the inflatable Bounce House and Obstacle Course-which we plan to keep!
We were hoping that someone could do some cute face painting and maybe even make figures out of balloons.
We welcome other ideas and activities and would love to have someone take this on as a volunteer for just this portion, the face painting and balloon figures. You would not be responsible for getting the inflatables, we’ve got that covered;)
Could you help us make this a fun event for our kids by helping make this happen?
If so or even if you might consider doing this for our kids please email Edna at

Update on the Food Truck:
Liz Q. contacted the Legal Dept. for the City of Livonia and was told by Mike Fisher from City Hall that
"A city ordinance is currently not very food truck friendly and food trucks are not permitted in residential districts."
Hoping we can take another look at this next year.

Our Annual NWCA Picnic
What a great time was had by all at our annual picnic. Almost 100 people attended the picnic! Children enjoyed the bounce house, the obstacle course and of course the water balloons! There were Corn Hole games being played! There was food galore with the association providing the hotdogs, buns, condiments, water, and soda. And don’t forget the ice cream too!
All the attending neighbors brought wonderful dishes to pass whether it was a watermelon, wide variety of salads, macaroni and cheese, apple pie, cheesecake, cookies, zucchini bread,…,the list goes on and on.
The board, both those present and those not able to attend (Steve, our Treasurer), worked hard to make this picnic a fun event. We also had neighbors who worked behind the scenes for us:
Pat & Fern welcomed new neighbors and personally invited them to attend this event.
Scott Q. single handedly set up all the tables & chairs.
Jeanette helped our griller distribute the hot dogs.
We had a great response for people signing up for volunteer positions! Thank you! Thank you!!
You can see that we have wonderful neighbors;)
Be on the look out on this site, FaceBook, Next Door, street signs for upcoming info on the Food Truck that Liz Q. is coordinating for our sub!!
